Topic Summary:
Professional Engineers licensed in Texas (and many other states) are required by law to read, discuss, and study professional ethics each year. Are you an Engineer? What are tax ethics? How are ethics and the practice of taxes related?
Join this seminar on ethics presented by an experienced executive who is an attorney. Jennifer will examine current events and issues considering the tax ethics framework that is set by the IRS and the American Bar Association. Ethics transcend all professions.
Speaker Information:
Jennifer Stewart - is a senior energy executive with 30+ years of financial and environmental strategy experience. She is the Chief Sustainability Officer for Penn LNG, a state-of-the-art natural gas export facility that is currently under development. She recently served as Vice President Strategic Growth for Baker Hughes Emissions Management. She retired from Southwest Energy in 2020 and is an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. Early in her career Jennifer was a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service, before earning a Juris Doctor Law Degree from the University of Houston. Shes been involved in tax and regulatory issues at the state, federal and international levels many years.
